HELLO HELSINKI!
We’re really looking forward to our making our Finnish debut at Etnosoi Festival in November, when we’ll be playing tracks from our album Clychau Dibon, along with a few new tracks we’d like to try out on you!
It will be an evening that combines music from our countries, our cultures, our hearts and where we meet in the middle is something special and new for us. We’ve been constantly surprised on our journey to find out how much our music has in common, and also to celebrate and hear the differences…..it’s a night of melody, rhythm, exchange and surprises.
It’s been a great year for us so far – we we’re delighted to win the Songlines Music Best Cross Cultural Award 2014, and the award concert takes place the night before we travel to Finland at The Sage in Gateshead, where we will be playing alongside the three other Songlines Award winners: Family Atlantica, Bassekou Kouyate and Tamikrest.
Our date in Finland will be the last time we play together this year (and our 62nd concert!), so let’s make it a good one!
